This house is worth a look! Its got charm and history to make it perfect. Five bedrooms all have large closets and all three bathrooms have large storage as well. Two sets of French doors take you from the living room to the screened-in porch and reading room that make the outdoors come inside even in the winter.
The construction of the main portion of this home began in 1815 and was completed in 1820. As the prominence of the owner, Josiah Parameter, grew an addition was added off the back, which made room for a formal kitchen space and study. Both of these spaces have since been renovated for the modern convenience, but had been done with the homes history in mind. Throughout the house movement is made easy from room to room as the majority of the rooms are located off the grand multilevel open foyer. From the magnificently elegant formal staircase to the open second floor hallway you can envision its history. The craftsmanship and detail of the hardwood floors, handcrafted window trim, moldings and the brick work of the multiple fireplaces are beautiful Other historic touches include the exposed interior brick wall and the original "3 holer" outhouse attached to the servant area. With all of what this home offers it does hold historic significance for the Town of Brandon, which was chartered in 1761. This house was one of the selected homes that the town nominated for the National Register of Historic Places and was entered and filed in December of 1976.
