This downtown building (originally called the Sterling) was renovated in 2008 and converted to commercial and residential living space. It's since become an outstanding spot to live, but opportunities to do so don't come up too often. This particular unit underwent a complete remodel last year. And, thanks to AnneMarie Barton Design, it's replete with stunning, organic finishes and a bright, open, modern feel throughout. The modern loft's open floor plan serves any entertaining agenda with ease, and the living room's fabulous fireplace-which leads the way to the kitchen-is one of the best seats in the house. It's easy to forget you're in the heart of downtown in this lofty spot. With a full dining area, laundry room, two large bedrooms, and a couple of walk-in closets, there's more than enough space to spread out. And the kitchen-with Subzero fridge and freezer, Wolf range, nugget ice maker (!), quartz countertops, and walk-in pantry-is the ideal spot, whether you're slicing, sautéing, or sandwich making. A few of our favorite features in this home: the exposed brick, the Hafele soft-close pocket doors, the Bluetooth Nest thermostat and Lutron lighting system, and the fully wired 5G network (streaming just became an absolute breeze). But the shining star in this setup is the downtown location. Perched so close to some of SLC's best eateries, City Creek, theaters, TRAX, and all of downtown, it's the plum perfect year-round spot. Better still? You'll have a large, lighted, and totally private outdoor patio from which to take it all in, and two underground, heated parking spots for those days you want to get away from it all. A clean, open, modern loft-squarely in downtown SLC-is a rare find, indeed. Our suggestion? Move quickly.
